SiteGround Black Friday 2026: Past Sales, Prices and What We Measured

SiteGround has not announced its 2026 Black Friday sale yet, but every one of its last five cut the price. In 2022, 2023 and 2025 the sale took StartUp, GrowBig and GoGeek to $1.99, $3.99 and $5.99 a month, and StartUp was $1.99 on all four Black Friday sales since 2022. Today StartUp is $3.99/mo on its 12-month term, $47.88 upfront, and renews at $17.99/mo. The sale has been short: on the records, it was over within about a week of Cyber Monday.

I tested SiteGround on the same WordPress site I use for every host, on all three shared plans. StartUp answered in 312ms from New York with one visitor and 900ms with 100 visitors at once, and 5% of requests failed. That is slower than the other shared hosts we compare it with below, so this page puts the test next to the price, the past sales and the renewal.

The Three Plans at a Glance

SiteGround Prices, Plan by Plan

SiteGround sells three shared hosting plans on Google Cloud, and lists one term for them: 12 months, paid upfront. Here is what each costs today, the upfront payment and the renewal rate.

US dollars before tax. "Last sale on record" is the Cyber Monday price on SiteGround's web hosting page at the end of the 2025 sale. StartUp hosts one website on 10 GB, GrowBig and GoGeek unlimited websites on 50 GB and 100 GB. Every plan lists free SSL, CDN, daily backups, email and site migrations, and a 30-day money-back guarantee.

What SiteGround Offered on Past Black Fridays

We went back to SiteGround's own homepage and web hosting page as the Wayback Machine saved them around Black Friday each year, and to the same pages a few weeks before and after. Here is what they showed for the three shared plans.

Prices on the 12-month term, as shown on the page, not a checkout. The 2024 copy of the web hosting page could not be served by the archive, so 2024 has the homepage's StartUp price only, and there is no saved copy of either page in early October 2025. SiteGround's "% off" labels are measured against its renewal rate, which was $14.99 / $24.99 / $39.99 in 2021 and 2022 and $17.99 / $29.99 / $44.99 since 2023.

What this means for a buyer: SiteGround's sale is reliable but short. It has landed on the same three prices in 2022, 2023 and 2025, and each year the normal prices were back within about a week of Cyber Monday. The price outside the sale has gone up, though: StartUp was $2.99 every October from 2022 to 2024 and is $3.99/mo today, so a repeat of $1.99 would save more against today's price than it did in past years.

How SiteGround Held Up in Our Tests

We ran the same WordPress site on all three SiteGround plans and on the shared plans buyers usually compare it with. We measured response time (TTFB) from 10 locations at the origin server, with no CDN in front, a load ramp of clients requesting pages at once, and uptime over 54 days. Full method: How We Test.

Lower is better for response times. "10 locations" is the average TTFB across our 10 test locations; "100 at once" is the response time with 100 visitors at the same moment. SiteGround's load test ramped from 0 to 100 clients, so 100 at once was its peak; it failed 165 of 3,300 requests on StartUp and 132 on GrowBig and GoGeek. The other hosts ramped to 250 clients, 8,250 requests each: Hostinger Premium failed 66, ChemiCloud and ScalaHosting none.

What this means for a buyer: SiteGround's uptime was in line with the others, but under load it was the slowest shared host in this table, and it dropped requests even though its test stopped at 100 clients. StartUp took 900ms with 100 visitors at once against 240ms on ChemiCloud Starter. GoGeek was the best of the three SiteGround plans, still slower than ChemiCloud's cheapest plan. For a small site with steady traffic that is fine; for a store that expects a rush, look at the plans above it in the table first.

What SiteGround Costs Over Four Years, Compared

A low first-year price hides the renewal, and SiteGround's first term is only 12 months, so its renewal starts sooner than most. Here is four years on each plan at today's prices: the first term at the intro price, then the renewal rate for the rest.

Today's prices before tax, renewing on the same term. The test column is the response with 100 visitors at once in our load test.

This is SiteGround's weak spot. Because the intro price covers only one year, StartUp costs $695.52 over four years, close to three times ChemiCloud Starter, which was also quicker under load. A Black Friday price helps less than it looks: at $1.99 the first year costs $23.88 instead of $47.88, and the next three years renew at $17.99/mo either way.

What Happens When the First Year Ends

The intro price, and any Black Friday price, is for your first 12 months only. After that StartUp renews at $17.99/mo, $215.88 a year; GrowBig at $29.99/mo, $359.88 a year; GoGeek at $44.99/mo, $539.88 a year. SiteGround prints the renewal under each plan card as "Renews at".

• Put the renewal date in your calendar when you buy, with a reminder about six weeks before. With a 12-month term it comes round quickly.
• Price the second year before you buy. On StartUp the renewal year costs $215.88, more than four years of today's intro price at some hosts.

How to Buy at the Lowest Price

1. Open SiteGround's web hosting page through our link or directly. In the sale, the sale price shows on the plan cards.
2. Pick the plan: StartUp for one site, GrowBig for several sites or staging, GoGeek if you want the quickest of the three.
3. Check the upfront total: SiteGround bills the 12 months at once.
4. Choose the data center closest to most of your visitors.
5. Read the order summary, keep only the add-ons you chose, and check the "Renews at" line before you pay.

What We Did Not Test

• Black Friday checkouts. The past prices come from SiteGround's saved pages, not from a purchase.
• SiteGround's cloud and WooCommerce plans. We benchmarked the three shared plans only.
• A 250-client ramp on SiteGround. Its load test stopped at 100 clients, so we cannot say how it would have held up beyond that.
• Support and refunds. This page measures servers and prices, not how quickly SiteGround answers a ticket or pays back a refund.

What I Would Do

If SiteGround is the host you want, I would wait for the sale: StartUp has been $1.99 on every Black Friday sale since 2022, against $3.99/mo today, and the sale has ended within about a week of Cyber Monday, so I would buy on the weekend itself. Then I would put the renewal in my calendar, because $17.99/mo a month starts after one year. SiteGround has not announced it yet. On the records we have, its sale prices were on its pages around Black Friday and Cyber Monday every year from 2021 to 2025, and they were gone again within about a week: the normal prices were back by December 4 in 2021, December 5 in 2022 and December 6 in 2023. In 2025 a "Cyber Monday Extended" sale was still on the web hosting page on December 4.

Is the SiteGround Black Friday price lower than the normal price?

Yes, on every record we have. In 2022, 2023 and 2025 the sale took StartUp, GrowBig and GoGeek to $1.99, $3.99 and $5.99 a month, against $2.99, $4.99 and $7.99 in early October 2022 to 2024.
