Kinsta Black Friday 2026: Past Sales, Today's Price and What We Measured

Kinsta has not announced its 2026 Black Friday sale yet, but its last three each cut the first year on annual billing. In 2024 and 2025 the $35 entry plan was $210 for the first year instead of $350, which Kinsta called "6 months free", and in 2023 it was $280. Today Single 20GB is $350 a year or $35.00/mo, with the first month free, and it renews at the same rate. The sales were for new customers, and in 2024 and 2025 they were over by early December.

I tested Kinsta's Single 20GB on the same WordPress site I use for every host. It answered in 64ms from New York with one visitor and 92ms with 100 visitors at once, and none of 8,250 requests failed. That was the quickest managed WordPress plan in our comparison, so this page sets the test next to the price, the past sales and what the plan costs over four years.

The Deal at a Glance

Kinsta Prices, Plan by Plan

Kinsta sells managed WordPress hosting on monthly or annual billing. Annual billing costs ten months' price for twelve ("2 months free" on Kinsta's page), and the rate does not change at renewal. Here are the plans most buyers choose between.

US dollars before tax. "Last sale on record" is the first-year price on Kinsta's pricing page in the 2025 Black Friday sale; our saved copy names the prices of Single 20GB, WP 2 and Agency, and shows the same offer on the other standard plans. Single 20GB includes 14-day backup retention and unlimited free migrations. Kinsta also sells plans measured by monthly visits instead of bandwidth at the same prices.

What Kinsta Offered on Past Black Fridays

We went back to Kinsta's own homepage and pricing page as the Wayback Machine saved them around Black Friday each year, and to the same pages a few weeks before and after. Kinsta's $35 entry plan has had three names in that time (Starter, Single 35k, Single 20GB), at the same price.

Prices as shown on Kinsta's pricing page, not a checkout. In 2024 and 2025 the monthly option in the sale was the first month free, then half price for six months ($17.50 on the $35 plan; the 2024 page rounded it to $18), then the full rate. In 2025 existing customers had a separate upgrade deal: 25% off the first three months on a higher monthly plan, or three months free on a higher annual plan. There is no saved copy of the pricing page near Black Friday 2021 or 2022, so we cannot say whether those years had an offer there.

What this means for a buyer: Kinsta's normal price does not move, so the sale is the one time a year the first year costs noticeably less. On the $35 plan the last two sales took the first annual bill from $350 to $210, a saving of $140, and the plan then renewed at the normal $350. The offer was for new customers, so if you are already on Kinsta, the upgrade deal is the one to watch.

How Kinsta Held Up in Our Tests

We ran the same WordPress site on Kinsta's Single 20GB and on the managed WordPress and cloud plans buyers usually compare it with. We measured response time (TTFB) from 10 locations at the origin server, with no CDN in front, a load ramp from 0 to 250 clients requesting pages at once (8,250 requests per host), and uptime over 54 days. Lower is better for response times. "10 locations" is the average TTFB across our 10 test locations; "100 at once" is the response time with 100 visitors at the same moment. No host in this table failed a request on the climb to 250 clients. Cloudways is a cloud server you size yourself, so it has no single plan price to set beside these.

What this means for a buyer: Kinsta was the quickest managed WordPress plan we tested, more than five times quicker than WP Engine's Startup under load (92ms against 487ms with 100 visitors at once), and it lost the least time to downtime. What Kinsta Costs Over Four Years, Compared

Kinsta charges the same rate at renewal, and WP Engine prints no renewal figure (the rows below assume today's rate), so the four-year cost is mostly a question of billing: annual or monthly, and whether you start in a sale.

Today's prices before tax, renewing at the rate each host prints (WP Engine's annual row counts the first year at today's price and later years at the renewal its payment page prints). WP Engine's 1-site plan is the Startup plan we tested, now sold as Essential. Kinsta's free first month is left out of every row. The test column is the response with 100 visitors at once in our load test.

Over four years, Kinsta Single 20GB on annual billing costs $1,400, less than WP Engine's 1-site plan at $1,596 once WP Engine's first-year discount ends, for a plan that was more than five times quicker under load in our test. Starting in a Black Friday sale like the last two takes $140 off that, and monthly billing adds $280 over the four years.

What Happens When the First Year Ends

A Black Friday price covers the first year only. After that Single 20GB renews at $350 a year on annual billing, the same as Kinsta's normal price, and $35.00/mo on monthly billing. There is no renewal jump beyond the normal rate, which is unusual in hosting, but the step from $210 to $350 is still worth planning for.

• Put the renewal date in your calendar when you buy, with a reminder about six weeks before.
• Check your plan size before it renews. Kinsta meters bandwidth (or visits) per plan; if your site has grown past Single 20GB's 20GB a month, price the next tier before the renewal rather than after.

How to Buy at the Lowest Price

1. Open Kinsta's pricing page through our link or directly. In the last two sales, the sale price showed on the plan cards.
2. Pick the billing: annual for the lowest price per year, monthly if you want to leave without a year's commitment.
3. Pick the plan: Single 20GB for one site, WP 2 or larger for several.
4. Choose the data center closest to most of your visitors.
5. Read the order summary: check the amount due today, the amount after the first month and the renewal line before you pay.

What We Did Not Test

• Black Friday checkouts. The past prices come from Kinsta's saved pages, not from a purchase.
• The larger plans. We benchmarked Single 20GB; WP 2, WP 5 and Agency share the platform but were not measured separately.
• Kinsta's CDN and edge caching. Our response times are taken at the origin server with no CDN in front, so every host is measured the same way.
• Support and refunds. This page measures servers and prices, not how quickly Kinsta answers a ticket or pays back a refund.

What I Would Do

If Kinsta is the host you want, I would wait for the sale and buy annual: in the last two years the first year of the $35 plan was $210 instead of $350, and the 2025 sale ran from mid-November to the first days of December, so there is time. Then I would plan for $350 a year from the second year on. If you only need the cheapest managed plan, WP Engine's 1-site plan costs less over four years, but in our test it was more than five times slower under load, which is the part Kinsta's price pays for.
