The first three let you place the site in Singapore and held up on our benchmark without a single failed request with up to 250 clients at once. I benchmarked the plans on this page with the same test site and ranked hosts on where they let you put the server, how they handled load and what they cost after the first term.
Here is the limit of what I know. Our test sites sat on servers in New York or Frankfurt, and we measured them from 10 locations. None is in Vietnam; the nearest is Singapore. So the load and uptime results tell you how good each platform is, and each host's own location list tells you whether you can put the server near your visitors. None of the hosts here lists a location in Vietnam; Singapore is the nearest most of them offer. Prices are in each host's own currency, and the six-year totals use the renewal price, because that is what you pay after the first term.

- One WordPress test site per plan, the same site everywhere, with the host's own caching left as it ships.
- The test servers sat in New York or Frankfurt. Hostinger and SiteGround answered fastest from Frankfurt, where their test servers were; the rest from New York.
- Response time (TTFB) from 10 locations: New York, Dallas, Toronto, London, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Sao Paulo, Singapore, Tokyo and Mumbai, at the origin with no CDN. None is in Vietnam; Singapore is the nearest.
- Load: a ramp from 0 to 250 clients at once. We report the response at the 100-user step and the share of requests that failed.
- Uptime checked every minute for 54 days.
- Server locations, plan contents and dong prices: read from each host's own pages. Six-year cost = the first term at the sign-up price, then the renewal price.

ChemiCloud is shared hosting with cPanel and the LiteSpeed web server, and its own location list offers Singapore for web hosting. On our benchmark Pro held up through the whole load ramp without a failed request: slower than the cloud servers below, but ahead of every other shared plan in this comparison.
It ranks first for everyday sites because of the whole package. One bill covers the hosting, the email accounts and the backups, and over six years it is the cheapest managed host with a Singapore location on this page, at $752 including three years at the renewal price. Entry Cloud is a managed cloud server with CPU cores and memory reserved for your account, and it was the fastest plan in this comparison: 58ms with 100 visitors at once. SPanel, ScalaHosting's own control panel, covers email accounts, DNS, SSL and site installs, so you get a cloud server without a separate email bill.
Two things to weigh. It costs more: $2,336 over six years on the 36-month term. And ScalaHosting's own data centers are in the US and Bulgaria; its Singapore location runs on the partner cloud it integrates with and on AWS, so ask its sales chat to confirm Singapore for the plan you buy. #3. Cloudways: Room to Grow, Billed Monthly

Cloudways sets up and manages a cloud server on DigitalOcean and other clouds, and lets you pick DigitalOcean's Singapore data center. There is no contract: you pay for the server by the hour, billed monthly, and resize it in a few clicks when traffic grows. The DigitalOcean Premium server held up through our load ramp without a failed request.
Cloudways does not host email: its Rackspace mailboxes are $1.50 per mailbox a month, or you keep Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. It prices in US dollars, and with no renewal jump, six years cost $1,008. Current offers: Cloudways promo code page.
#4. Hostinger: Low Cost, Priced in Dong

Hostinger is the only host here with a Vietnamese price list. On its Vietnamese site Premium is 41,900 VND/mo on a 48-month term, 2,011,200 VND paid upfront, and renews at 125,900 VND/mo. Six years at those prices come to 5,032,800 VND: four years at the sign-up price and two at the renewal price. Unlimited, with more websites and storage, is 69,900 VND/mo on the same term and renews at 181,900 VND/mo.
Two limits keep it at #4. Its support page lists India, Indonesia and Malaysia as its web hosting locations in Asia, not Singapore, and says the final list is the one in the dashboard when you set up the site; pick the nearest one there. And under load it was slower than the three above: 520ms with 100 visitors at once and 0.8% of requests failed. FastComet has had a Singapore data center since November 2016. FastCloud Plus answered in 420ms with 100 concurrent users and failed 0.19% of requests over the full ramp. It is $6.29/mo on 36 months and renews at $17.95/mo, so six years cost $873, more than ChemiCloud for a slower result under load. See our FastComet review.
Hosting.com
Hosting.com lists Singapore for its Starter, Pro and Max plans and its cloud servers. We tested Turbo Boost, a plan inherited from A2 Hosting and no longer sold: 534ms with 100 concurrent users, 0.3% failed. The Pro plan that replaced it is $3.99/mo on 36 months and renews at $19.99/mo; we have not benchmarked it. See our hosting.com review.
SiteGround GrowBig
SiteGround says its hosting spans 11 data centers across North America, Europe, Asia and Australia, but its page does not name the Asian city, so confirm it at checkout. Under load GrowBig was the weakest plan with a location in Asia: 780ms with 100 concurrent users and 4% of requests failed on a ramp that stopped at 100 clients. The sign-up price of $6.69/mo lasts 12 months, then it renews at $29.99/mo, which makes six years $1,880. See SiteGround pricing and renewal tips.
DigitalOcean Basic Droplet
DigitalOcean lists a Singapore data center (SGP1). Its Basic 1 GB Droplet is $6.00/mo and held up through our ramp without a failed request, 128ms with 100 concurrent users. It is an unmanaged server: you install and secure the web server, PHP, the database and backups yourself, and there is no control panel or email. If you want DigitalOcean's Singapore data center without running the server yourself, Cloudways above manages it for you.
Bluehost Choice Plus
Bluehost was the weakest plan in our benchmark. Choice Plus answered one visitor in 262ms from New York, but with 100 at once it took 1240ms and over the ramp it failed 3,221 of 8,250 requests. Whatever its server location, that is not a result we would put a business site on.
Regional Hosts We Have Not Tested
Several Southeast Asian hosts sell to Vietnamese businesses. We have not benchmarked any of them, so none is ranked. Exabytes, a Malaysian host, names a Tier 3 data centre in Malaysia on its web hosting page and prices in ringgit. Vodien's site refused our read, and Shinjiru's home page says it runs eight offshore data centres without naming where, so we make no location claim for either. Vietnamese hosting companies also sell to local businesses, with prices in dong; we have no benchmark of any of them yet.
Why the Server Location Matters
Every page a server builds for a visitor makes a round trip across the distance between them. On our benchmark the same server answered from Singapore about three times slower than near home: ChemiCloud 78ms in New York against 256ms from Singapore; ScalaHosting 38ms against 124ms; Cloudways 54ms against 178ms. Nothing about the server changed, only the distance. A visitor in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City sits far from New York or Frankfurt, so a server in Singapore, or the nearest Asian location a host offers, removes most of that delay.
A CDN helps with images, scripts and cached pages, but it cannot answer what only the server can: contact forms, carts, checkouts, searches and your own admin area. So the order of choices is: a host with a location near Vietnam, then a plan that stays fast under load, then a CDN on top.

For an everyday Vietnamese website I would take ChemiCloud Pro in Singapore: it held up under load without a failed request, it includes email and backups, and it is the cheapest managed host with a Singapore location over six years. For a store or booking site, ScalaHosting Entry Cloud, after confirming Singapore for my plan; for a site I expected to grow fast, a Cloudways server on DigitalOcean Singapore. If a price list in dong matters most, Hostinger, with its nearest Asian location picked in the dashboard. Whatever the host, choose the location nearest your visitors when you order.
