What is content marketing? How fast Grow Ecommerce Website Ranking

In the past, a blog was nothing more than an online diary. But now, blogging has evolved into a common marketing strategy.

You may have heard of it: content marketing.

Creating content such as blog posts is one of the most effective ways to increase traffic to product pages because they can.

  1. Allowing you to share valuable content on social media.
  2. Easier access to shares and links.
  3. more likely to rank in Google than product pages.
  4. Open the door to building relationships with industry influencers
  5. and much more!

Why you need to run a blog in your e-commerce website

Running an online store is a full-time job, and there are probably a million things waiting for you to do, so why add another workload?

This is because, as shown above, blog content can bring many benefits, the one that benefits the most is SEO (Search Engine Optimization). How do you make sure your website appears in the top five of Google when someone searches for your product?

Blog posts can do this, and the following diagram shows how it works.

Website traffic comes from Google, social media and email, which you can then aggregate to product pages. In addition, links to other pages can also get traffic but are not included in the above chart as this is a more advanced strategy that we will discuss later.

Content marketing is very effective in increasing traffic, and once you use the right search engine optimization, that could lead to thousands of potential customers.

About SEO

Simply put: In order to rank your page on Google, you need quality backlinks from other websites.

However, it is very difficult to get backlinks to product pages because they provide little to no valuable content and people usually don't link to product pages unless there is some interest (e.g. affiliate marketing).

On the other hand, it is relatively easier to get backlinks to your blog page. These backlinks are very helpful for SEO and can push your posts up to the first page of Google within a few months, provided, of course, that your content is good enough.

So, how to improve the ranking of product pages?

Through internal links.

When a page gets a lot of internal links from other pages on the site, that page is likely to gain more weight.

If your blog post A has 20 backlinks and product page B doesn't have any backlinks, if you add a link to page B in page A, then page B is more likely to rank on Google!

  1. Select a theme

When you are planning to create blog content, the hardest part is coming up with good topics. In our experience, there are two ways to decide on a theme.

  1. Selecting viral communication themes
  2. Choose a theme for SEO
  3. For our part, we prefer the second one because virality can also drop quickly after a quick spike. In the long run, traffic to SEO topics increases gradually over time and tends to produce better results.
  4. Regardless of the type of article you choose, you will need an idea about the topic. There are many ways to come up with a topic, and since we prefer SEO and long-term benefits, this aspect will be covered next, including keyword research and finding authority sites.
  5. First, find 5 to 10 high quality blogs in your industry and use their sites to find popular content related to your Niche.
  6. Pro Tip: Use Google Sheets to create a spreadsheet to track this listing, you will need to record the URL, title, author and contact information. In addition, you can also track DA through Moz Link Explorer. A high DA means that links from their site bring you more weight.
  7. You may have researched some other blogs/websites, but if you are new to this area, we can offer some strategies.
  8. 1. Use BuzzSumo to find viral content around
  9. BuzzSumo is a useful tool that allows you to see which content has the best results on a specific topic or website, and you can use it to find topic ideas and other quality blogs. Simply enter keywords related to your Niche, such as Ecommerce Content Marketing.
  10. The first article in the list is: How I Boosted My Rankings Without Creating Content or Building Links.
  11. 2. Use Ahrefs to find relevant keywords
  12. Ahrefs is an SEO tool that shows you keyword rankings, search traffic obtained by keywords, and the difficulty of viral content.
  13. In the previous step, the first article in the list came from neilpatel.com, which we entered into the Ahrefs search box at
  14. Then, click on the Natural Search tab and scroll down to see the keyword rankings:.
  15. If you are a paying subscriber, then you can see even more keywords. Now that you have a good list of potential keywords, the next thing to do is to drill down until you find some good blog topic ideas.
  16. Write the best content

This is bad news, at least for the vast majority of people...

In order to rank on Google and increase a lot of traffic, you need some really good content.

The good news is: you don't need to be a great writer to create top-notch blog posts. In fact, there are plenty of ways to do it that don't require you to write your own articles at all, and some of them are even completely free.

1. Have someone else write the article for you

Sometimes, you can use email and social media to get well-known industry bloggers and influencers to write for you.

For example, you could send an email to other bloggers asking them a simple question: What's your take on content marketing? Then, they might write back and all you need to do is add images and links to put that content together into a nice article. Of course, the reality may not be that ideal, but it's a good way to think about it.

If you're not sure where to find influencers, try using an influencer discovery tool, Ninja Outreach is the best option.

2. Hire freelance writers

Freelance writers are easy to find, just look for the most highly rated part-timers on Upwork or People Per Hour.

Our suggestion is to hire 3 to 5 people and divide them the same small tasks to see who completes them best.

Pro Tip: Look for people with a background in journalism, as journalists are natural fact finders and researchers and the content they provide is usually verified. In addition, they are great at making connections with others and you can even get influencer traffic through them.

3. Write your own articles

It's essential to write your own articles so you can get used to the process before you outsource. Besides, no one will love your business as much as you do, so the quality of the articles you write may be better than others.

Here are some tips.

  1. Use short paragraphs, no more than 3 to 4 lines
  2. Add bulleted or numbered lists to highlight key points
  3. Break down the content through headings and subheadings
  4. Avoid using too many adjectives
  5. Use as few phrases as possible to get the point across
  6. Read the article at least once before posting
  7. Send it to someone else for spell check
  8. Finally, in order to become a better writer, you need to read and write more.
  9. Promote your own content

You may spend hours researching and writing blog posts, but if you don't promote them, then you can't produce real value.

There are many ways to promote your articles, let's start with free, after all, who doesn't like free services? Some common promotion strategies include: social media, email, online forums, and comment marketing.

1. social media

Just publish an article and tweet it to social media. Everything is fine, right?

Social media is not a content distribution platform, people don't go to Facebook to read your posts.

The right thing to do is to interact with your fans and tag some of them in the page to attract their views and retweets. In addition, you should also post this article in a Facebook group, where a few extra minutes of work may bring huge traffic.

2. Email

Email is a simple and effective strategy that can help you build strong relationships. When you have a lot of good relationships, marketing grows like a snowball.

3. Online forum

Online forums are one of the most time-consuming marketing strategies, but they usually generate the most engaging traffic. In order to effectively promote articles on a forum, you first need to provide significant value to the forum and maintain good relationships with members.

We recommend that you first post 20-30 high quality replies on the forum and then link to the content of your article.

4. comment marketing

Comment marketing is still a reasonable way to drive traffic and build links, but you need to perform a few actions so that you don't end up in the spam folder:.

  1. Use your real name and email
  2. If linking to your site in a comment, do not enter in the optional box
  3. Making sure your review has value means that it is an informative and well thought out piece of content.
  4. These are the free marketing! There may be other better ways, but these four have worked well for us. In any case, it's best to choose only one or two of them (not all of them) and keep researching and focusing on them consistently.
  5. Free marketing may work wonders, but sometimes you want faster results, and that's where paid advertising comes in. There are three main places to spend your money: Quuu Promote, social media ads, and Google Ads PPC.
  6. 1. Quuu Promote
  7. Quuu Promote is a cool tool created by Dan and Matthew. Basically, they have a network of bloggers, and after signing up for Quuu, you can push your posts to bloggers on this network.
  8. Note that they will review the articles you submit and if the quality is too poor, then it will likely be rejected.
  9. 2. Social media advertising
  10. Facebook now only shows your posts to 16% of your fans, and to get more traffic, you have to pay (monetarily).
  11. 3. PPC advertising
  12. Google Ads is the granddaddy of PPC, but it's not the only option. There are multiple ways to buy PPC ads, including.
  13. Outbrain
  14. Bing Ads
  15. AdRoll
  16. Outbrain is a content discovery and marketing platform, and displaying your ads on registered, relevant blogs is a new method worth trying.

Concluding remarks

E-commerce content marketing is an underrated way to actually drive high converting traffic to your website, especially in the long run.

One last tip about blogging: frequency doesn't matter, just make sure you post at least once a month.

The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, and the best time to publish a blog post is now, so go write your first blog post
